Nice one man. The web and the technologies that run the backend have always interested me. I have never realy gotten into the guts of proper programming and coding. I'll have a look at those links when I'm back on company time. ;)

More learnings is what everyone always needs all the times.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm stalking you, but I thought you might have a techie and interesting blog and I was right :)

Learning PHP is great for making web pages, but to learn more (I know I sound a bit pretentious, but I don't mean to patronise) it *is* better to learn deeper computer science.

For instance, did you know that javascript is a functional language? It has taken inspiration from the lambda calculus. http://eloquentjavascript.net/chapter6.html

Some things that I like:
Haskell, a lazy functional language http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Introduction#Why_use_Haskell.3F

MIT lectures http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/

I find getting my head around MIT lectures really hard!

All the best, dude!

G'day stranger, nice blog mate :)
I think that the issue with Twitter is that it has fallen into the hands of the wrong demographic. at one point i thought the concept was sweet; in my eyes being able to let your work colleagues or your group know you were going to be late to a functin/dinner/project would be fairly handy, considering the nature of Twitter being all about immediacy and 'diet blogging'. Instead it's full of people, as you said, talking absolute crap, making multiple messages (to get aroudn the 140 character limit) and using it for conversation. What's more annoying is just how so many companies are niaively backing it in hopes it will be huge, but no one is really sure why. Cheers
