I generally provide services free for friends and family. However I’m not adverse to the idea of providing services on a barter basis or accepting a token donation to help with website hosting costs.
I have worked this way for a long time, rather than take cash for hosting/web design/graphic design etc I’ll happily consider some kind of service in return or discount.
