Cest-la-vie!
Posted by Stevieb | Filed under News, Tech, Web Links
Well about a year ago, a setup a new site to take over the function of running the firewall bypass.
However this was not to be. The proxy scripts worked well, the user management scripts worked well, however they didn’t work well together. I was out of my depth and couldn’t resolve the problem. Unfortunately neither could the script developers solve the issue. So rather than run a half assed service I decided to give iunctio.org the boot.
So, I will take on new proxy connections on a request basis. So if you want one, drop me an e-mail via the contact me link above and I’ll hook you up.

Blog a day?
Posted by Stevieb | Filed under General
I’d be lucky if I squeezed a new blog every few months! Aye sure from time to time I seem to have a brain fart and I feel compelled to post something up.
One of the boys (Davey) had started doing a blog a day (exactly the same as a one a day for some of the photography forums I’m on). So far his musings are both interesting and petty funny! I think I’d be hard pressed to blog on a daily basis without sounding either like a moaning bugger, or someone who has the potential to explode. One thing that would soon become apparent I suppose is how much my life revolves around my career, and let’s face it nobody wants to hear me wittering on about what I’m doing at work on a daily basis! I think the occasional update from time to time at least might make some interesting or I would like to hope some thought provoking reading.
When I setup the site it was never intended to be a blog, it was actually setup to showcase some of my designs and work. It also used to document some of the fun I would have with these 419 Nigerian Scammer geezers, I won’t go into in in much detail, instead you can look here, that was the kind of stuff I used to do. Over time I got bored of messing with these Nigerian lads, so I needed something new to focus on. Version 1 of the site was built on a Mambo (now Joomla) framework. That was fine but pretty messy for what I wanted. I moved onto WordPress and have been addicted ever since. As a platform it’s amazingly flexible and incredibly simple to develop and design around.
I digress from the main point I suppose. I think I want to try and increase my level of activity on the site, I pull some decent daily traffic, so I might as well start making an effort to post stuff you might want to read!
New year, new resolutions!
Posted by Stevieb | Filed under Awesomeness, General, Photography
Well happy new year to you all! 2009 was a good year for me, and I’m convinced 2010 is going to be equally as good, if not better!
I don’t really have resolutions, nothing that formal. I have thing’s I’d like to achieve or at the very least make headway in achieving. Two points that spring to mind are my fitness, and my photography.
I don’t post as much of my photography as I should, the problem is all my best works are portrait photography; the last thing I want to do is post up pictures of people who may not nessesserily want their photo plastered on the web! I have ordered some near gear for the new year, a new battery grip, some largers CF discs, a new flash and I’m planning a new lens or two finances permitting. I really want to make an effort this year, perhaps even sell a few to see how I get on.
The other thing is my fitness. Over the past year or so I have lost a good amount of weight, but midwaythrough 2009 I lost monemtum and started getting lazy again. So I joined the local health club and off I went. This was fine, but lets face it boring as fuck! One night I was out on a stag do, and I met a local guy who is a bit of a fitness jack of all trades, without going into it too much he got me into kettlebells. If you don’t know what they are, Google em. Again I’m not gonna rant too much about there here, because I know how much you all love my rambling. All I will say is, if you are in the Moray area and you want to try something new and different have a peek at www.wrightfitness.co.uk and give them a shout about their kettlebell courses, tell em Steve sent you!
Firewall bypass update
Posted by Stevieb | Filed under News, Site News, Tech, Web Links
Well after several year, the firewall bypass is finally going to retire; well kind of.
I will no longer be accepting new registrations for the system. The people that currently have access can keep it, however if you want access to the firewall bypass now I have something new for you.
The firewall bypass was always a very popular part of the site, so popular in fact it cost me hundreds of pounds in extra server costs. So I have decided to setup a site dedicated to helping you get where you need to!
iunctio is the new home of the firewall bypass. It’s also much improved. It’s fully automated user setup and subscription. You can manage your own setup and subscription giving you full control. There is also a dedicated helpdesk for any problems or suggestions you have.
I will keep the firewall bypass page up and running with a link to the new site. So fear not! The bypass has not gone forever, it’s only moved house!
